Product Photography Advertisement Project Process

The Project

For this project I was tasked with taking product photos and using those photos to make a product advertisement in Photoshop! I decided it would be fun to make an advertisement for the greens & superfoods supplement by Bloom Nutrition.

Disclaimer: This advertisement for Bloom Nutrition greens supplement is a personal project created solely for educational and portfolio purposes. I was not hired or commissioned by Bloom Nutrition to create this advertisement, and it is not an official advertisement endorsed by Bloom Nutrition.

Let’s begin!

The first step for the project was to take my product photos. I got my light-box photo booth and DSLR ready and began to take photos of the product. I made sure to take the product photos on a nice clean background as I knew I would be masking it out later in Photoshop and wanted to make the process as smooth and easy as possible. Looking back, it may have been even easier if I shot this photo on a black background considering the product has quite a bit of white on it that blends in with the current background.

First drafts

After masking out the product, I got to work on multiple different advertisements. I played around with different layouts, color palettes, font sizes, etc. I knew that I wanted to largely incorporate green because I felt it was very fitting for the product!

Moving forward…

Moving forward with the project, I decided to combine elements of two of my draft designs together. I incorporated the leaves from the second design with the pink color palette a swirly lines of the first design. I’ve noticed that pink and green is a very popular color combination recently and I felt that it also fit Bloom Nutritions branding quite well.

The Final Project

After getting my critiques back, I made some final edits to the project, including changing the pink background color out for yellow as well as some last little tweaks to font size and other elements. Overall, I am quite happy with how these advertisements came out and enjoyed the process of making them!
